Mitigation strategy

1. **Establish a comprehensive information integrity framework**: Systematically assess the information environment to identify and evaluate the prevalence and severity of misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation (MDM) narratives targeting the organization's critical functions and stakeholders. This includes mapping communication flows and evaluating the precedent for sector-specific MDM narratives. 2. **Implement organizational and platform-based resilience measures**: Fortify internal systems and communication channels by mandating multi-factor authentication and rigorous access controls for all official accounts. Concurrently, build societal resilience through digital and media literacy programs designed to prime users, encourage critical thinking, and provide mental inoculation against common manipulation tactics. 3. **Develop and operationalize a dedicated MDM Incident Response Plan**: Designate clear roles and responsibilities for crisis communication and public engagement to ensure rapid, evidence-based responses. The plan must prioritize the deployment of effective post-hoc correction strategies, such as timely fact-checking, public debunking, and the consistent dissemination of accurate counter-narratives through established, trusted communication networks.
